Parent Homework Week #2

Très Zéro PARENT HOMEWORK – WEEK TWO

Dear Parents,

So, did you complete your homework from last week?  Don’t worry, we’re not keeping a grade book.  We do hope you were able to find time to have a conversation with your student.  Here are some additional questions for this week. 

1.     Today, parts were assigned to the students and we read through the manuscript or script.  Unlike Anderson’s Emperor’s New Clothes, Très Zéro takes place in the present day within a shopping mall.  Ask your student about the manuscript.  Suggested questions to ask:

a.     What did you think of Très Zéro?

b.     What part are you playing in the show?

c.      Tell me about some of the characters in the show.

d.     How is Très Zéro different from the Emperor’s New Clothes?

2.     Fashion is a major theme of Très Zéro.  Have a discussion with your student about clothes.  Suggested questions to ask:

a.     What kind of clothes do you like to wear?

b.     Do clothes send message to others? 

c.      What do your clothes say about you?
