Très Zéro PARENT
HOMEWORK – WEEK ONE
Dear Parents,
Your student has responsibilities as part of our latest
production of Très Zéro and, so do
you! We’ll be sending along quick,
little conversation starters and background information so you can help your
child think about what their learning during rehearsals. Here are your assignments:
- Last week, we auditioned students for various parts by reading from “sides.” Ask your child what a “side” is and how the audition worked. They will get to read from part of the script and the director will match the students to various roles.
- Our newest production, Très Zéro, is loosely based on the Emperor’s New Clothes by Hans Christian Anderson. Before next rehearsal, read the original story to your student and talk with her or him about the meaning of the story.
If you don’t have a copy sitting around your house, you
can read the full, original story online from the University of Southern
Denmark at this website:
We’ll also place the link on riversidedrama.org.
Oh, and don’t worry about the costuming for our
production. All actors will be completely
clad at all times.
We’re
excited to have your student joining us in this production!
